[intelligent discussion please]
is it me or does the majority of the uk market not care about new ideas, they just want better version of what they have, not wanting to experience new things?

We have alot of new things, but improvement is also good.
What in particular were you thinking of?

Ye britian never changes. Im glad we still live in castles and play with out bow and arrows and swords. Im just of to kill this cow for my tea i will be back soon.........
(THE WORLD HAS CHANGED SINCE THE MEDIEVIL ERA STIG)
...... right im back....
Britian Early 20th Century
Black and White tvs, wireless (radio), computers the size of a room, the hydrogon bomb had to be dropped from a plane, tanks and planes etc etc...
Britain 21st Century (starting from about 90's though)
Plasma tvs/LCD monitors, iPod/mp3/4 players, Computers that can fit in my hand, Laser Guided Nuclear Missiles/ Cruise Missiles/ Defence Systems, jet fighters/ concorde/ modern armour etc etc...
People want to try new things.. yep.. people want to have updated things... yep. I dont want a computer that need a room to keep it in. 3 computers in my house = 3 rooms less not to live in.
THINGS NEED UPDATING
also its easier to update something then it is to invent something.
and it depends how you use the word upgrade... pretty much everything made today is based upon something already in existence... e.g vacuum cleaners. Dyson invented a vacuum that didnt need a waste bag. This is new technology but is also an upgrade.
On a more gaming related subject.
How many people have or will buy the ps3/xb360 (and that crap nintendo thing) over the xbox/ps2/ (whatever nintendo make)

hes right, we dont really need new, just better, and most things that call themselves new will be based off things that were older which means they are an improvment.

Okay i can see both points of view. From the little time i have been here i have noticed that scott does seem to go into topics and post garbage, and stig wanted more of a debate but scott answered in such a way that he sort of ended the topic.
So i see both sides.
