I have updated the forum today to the latest version of the forum software. Due to the nature of the update, and the sheer change in templates and files it has been necessary to find a new skin, the skin I have chosen I feel is pretty good visually, and I have tried to modify it to better suit our needs.
Some noteable changes:
1) New shoutbox - The new shoutbox is an improvement on the old one I feel and shouldn't mess up your messages like the old one did.
2) Networking - People can now join social groups and create albums and upload photos and what not. Think of it like a cheap version of Facebook, it even lets you modify your profile page.
3) Arcade - The arcade has gone, maybe it will make an appearance someday but if it does it will be seperate to the forum.
4) Points system - The old points system was stupid, due to the interest that people were earning some members (myself included) had over 2 billion points. This new one works a lot better and gives you points based on a whole host of activity within the site. The points it gives you arn't fixed either and it uses an content analysis algorithm to judge how many points posts will earn.
5) Everything else I have forgot - Look out for things such as tags and social link sites. There are probably things I have missed as well so keep an eye out for them.
